Dana has a BA degree in Music Theater and has been teaching dance and theatre, directing, and performing for over 20 years. She has trained with Brian Vernon who studied with the Nicholas Bros, Sandman, and other world-class performers. She has worked with almost every theater in Grand Junction and loves bringing the stage to life for kids and letting them find their own avenue for expression - in dance and theatre. She is the Artistic Director for The Theatre Project and Youth Theatre Project

Learn the basic to intermediate dance technique necessary for Musical Theatre performers. Learn to pick up choreography quickly and understand dance terminology and technique necessary for the well-rounded performer. Fast paced class with a bit of cardio to boot. This class explores classical movement, foundational steps, and quick combinations to push the performer. Using songs from a wide variety of musicals both classic and modern, there is also opportunity for education on show history.

Modern Dance with African Infusion
The foundation of this class is modern in style with a focus on expression. Free form and fluid movement will be the base of this beginner to intermediate class. This class will also incorporate some African style, rhythms and technique, emphasizing the flexibility of the spine and torso and articulation of the pelvis. Barefoot and comfortable clothing is optimal.
