Shrek the Musical Jr – Auditions (Ages 6–14)

The Theatre Project is excited to welcome young performers to audition for Shrek the Musical Jr, a fun, fast-paced musical adventure based on the beloved DreamWorks film Shrek. Auditions will be held at The Theatre Project on January 14th from 5:30-7! No prior experience is necessary.

This production is part of our youth theatre programming and is designed to be an encouraging, educational experience for kids of all backgrounds. Through music, movement, and storytelling, students will build confidence, teamwork, and creativity—all while having fun on stage.

Auditions are open to children ages 6–14.

• Auditions will be held in small groups
• No theatre or dance experience is required
• Auditions are supportive, age-appropriate, and low-pressure

Rehearsals will be held on Wednesdays from 5:30–6:30 PM for ages 6-7 and 5:30-7 for ages 8-14 starting on January 21st.

Students are expected to attend rehearsals regularly so they can learn together and grow as an ensemble.

Group auditions allow students to interact, play, and show their personalities in a relaxed setting. We are not looking for “perfect”—we’re looking for kids who are willing to try, participate, and work together.

Whether your child is brand new to theatre or has performed before, Shrek the Musical KIDS is a wonderful opportunity to learn, grow, and shine in a positive, inclusive environment.

Shrek the Musical Jr is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI).

Performances will be April 25th!

Stages Level 1/2, ages 6-14. Fee is $140 and covers licensing, venue rental, costumes, scripts, sets, props, and other production fees.
