On a cold, clear winter night in the remote town of Almost, Maine, love is in the air—but so is the unexpected. Under the shimmer of the northern lights, the town’s residents find themselves falling in and out of love in surprising, magical, and deeply human ways. Told through a series of touching and humorous vignettes, Almost, Maine explores the joys and sorrows of the heart with whimsy and warmth.
The Theatre Project’s production at The Art Center of Western Colorado brought this beloved play to life over four performances between January 17 and 19, 2025, offering audiences a heartfelt journey through love’s many seasons.

Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks Animation film,Shrek The Musical is a Tony Award-winning fairy tale adventure thatbrings all the beloved characters you know from the film to life on stage and proves there’s more to the story than meets the ears. “Once upon a time, there was a little ogre named Shrek….” And thus begins the tale of an unlikely hero who finds himself on a life-changing journey alongside a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess who resists her rescue. Throw in a short-tempered bad guy, a cookie with an attitude and over a dozen other fairy tale misfits, and you’ve got the kind of mess that calls for a real hero. Luckily, there’s one on hand… and his name is Shrek. Presented by The Theatre Project, a local non-profit community theatre, this show is fun for the whole family and proves that beauty is truly in the eye of the ogre.
