Designed especially for young performers, this fun and engaging class helps students build confidence, creativity, and stage presence through age-appropriate theatre games, music, movement, and storytelling. Whether your child dreams of performing on stage or simply enjoys creative play, Little Steps to Broadway provides a welcoming environment where every student can shine.

All rehearsals for full cast are Wed 5:30-6:15
Performance is tentatively set for Sat, Nov 7 at 2pm
Students of all experience levels are welcome. This class is designed for beginners and young performers who are ready to explore musical theatre in a fun, supportive setting.
Located in Grand Junction, Colorado, The Theatre Project has helped young performers build confidence through theatre for years.

Little Steps to Broadway is the first step in The Theatre Project’s youth theatre program. Many of our older performers began their theatre journey right here, building the confidence and skills that prepare them for future productions, camps, and classes.

General Information:
We do a drive-through for drop-off and pick-up on the North side of the building on Bunting Ave right behind Planet Fitness.
Parents are not allowed in the classroom but you are welcome to park and watch through the windows.
Production Fee includes scripts, classes/rehearsals, costume rental – it does not include tickets.
Students should bring a water bottle to auditions and rehearsals.

Little Steps to Broadway is the first step in The Theatre Project’s youth theatre program. As your child grows, they’ll have opportunities to participate in productions, summer camps, and additional classes designed to build confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of the performing arts.
The Theatre Project is excited to announce auditions for our Fall 2026 Stage 2 production of Disney’s The Aristocats KIDS. This fun-filled musical adventure is perfect for young performers who love to sing, dance, act, and make new friends.
Based on the beloved Disney animated film, The Aristocats KIDS follows Duchess, her kittens, and a colorful cast of characters on a heartwarming journey through Paris. Along the way, students will develop confidence, creativity, teamwork, and performance skills while preparing for a fully staged musical production.
Ages 7-10
First Class August 19, Wed, 5:30-6:30
We will start by auditioning students to set the cast list for the show.
All rehearsals for full cast are Wed 5:30-6:30
Performances are scheduled for Saturday, Nov 14 at 2 & 7pm
Students should simply come dressed comfortably and be ready to participate in singing, movement, and theatre activities. Our goal is to create a positive, welcoming audition experience where every child has the opportunity to shine.

Whether your child is brand new to theatre or already loves being on stage, we encourage them to audition.
Rehearsal Schedule
Wednesdays 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM
Rehearsals will focus on learning music, choreography, acting, and stage movement while building friendships and confidence in a supportive environment.

Based on the beloved book by Roald Dahl, this inspiring and energetic musical tells the story of an extraordinary young girl who discovers that courage, imagination, and determination can change the world.
Featuring unforgettable songs, larger-than-life characters, and a powerful message about standing up for what’s right, Matilda the Musical offers young performers an exciting opportunity to grow their skills in acting, singing, and dance while being part of a full-scale theatrical production.

Ticket price = $15 for adults, $10 for students/seniors
