Much Ado About Nothing – Afternoon

In a 1920’s New York speakeasy, the case of mistaken identity, rumors, and purposeful misdirection will unfold with mob leader Don Pedro and his men returning from business to their local speakeasy and favorite establishment owner Leonato and his beautiful daughter, Hero. Don Pedro’s right-hand man, Benedick, continues his prickly relationship with Leonato’s niece, Beatrice, while Claudio and the newcomer to Don Pedro’s group falls in love with Hero and asks Don Pedro to woo her for him. Lines get crossed, and as Don Pedro’s sister’s subterfuge unfolds and causes chaos amongst the characters, rumors fly–causing drama and hilarity in this play that is sure to be a crowd pleaser.
