Bard Beginnings: Shakespeare Monologue Class

Course Description: Dive into the timeless world of Shakespeare with this introductory acting class designed for adults. Whether you’re new to acting or seeking to refine your performance skills, this class offers a supportive environment to explore the rich characters and vibrant language of Shakespeare. Over the course of the program, you’ll work on analyzing, rehearsing, and performing a monologue from one of Shakespeare’s plays. With personalized coaching, you’ll gain insight into the meaning behind the text, develop a strong stage presence, and build confidence in delivering classical material.
Each student will select a monologue tailored to their interests and skill level. Through group exercises and individual coaching, you will explore voice techniques, emotional expression, and physicality to embody the character. The class will culminate in a final monologue performance in front of an invited audience.
