Seusspeare: Romeo and Juliet’s Restaurant Wars
Join us for a family-friendly and fun theatre performance in the park! On Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., The Theatre Project will perform Seusspeare: Romeo and Juliet’s Restaurant Wars at the marble courts in Lincoln Park. This ‘Seussified’ spoof of Shakespeare’s classic is told entirely in rhyming verse, sprinkled with clever modern-day references, and designed to delight audiences of all ages.
The event is free to the public and presented in partnership with the City of Grand Junction and the Grand Junction Commission on Arts and Culture (GJCAC). Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or low-back lawn chairs for comfort. A local food truck will be onsite with snacks available for purchase.
This playful and engaging performance is part of the Theatre in the Park series and represents a shared commitment to expanding access to the arts in public spaces. It’s a perfect way to introduce families and young children to live theatre in a relaxed, welcoming outdoor setting.
